Prof. Marta Kosior-Kazberuk
Marta Kosior-Kazberuk, PhD, Eng, Associate prof. at BUT. Born in Białystok, she graduated from the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Białystok University of Technology (BUT).
In 2002, she obtained a doctorate in technical sciences in the discipline of construction, and in 2014 she became a habilitated doctor. She started working at the Białystok University of Technology in 1995.
She was elected as the Rector of BUT on 1 September 2020, becoming first woman in this position in over 70 years of this university’s history.
Her scientific interests concern, among others durability of concrete structures and innovative solutions in the field of structural reinforcement. She is the author and co-author of nearly 200 scientific publications.
She was the promoter of 115 engineering and master’s theses. She has taught at over a dozen foreign universities.
She managed and participated in the implementation of projects developed under the National Science Center, the National Center for Research and Development, Erasmus + Strategic Partnerships, as well as projects by the National Agency for Academic Exchange. She works in the Commission for Cooperation of the International Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland.
Since 2009, she has been an expert of the National Center for Research and Development; from 2016 an expert at the Polish Accreditation Committee.
In 2012-2018, she represented the Białystok University of Technology in the European Civil Engineering Education and Training Association.
In 2018, she was elected to the Administrative Council of European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education.
In 2021, she was received the Builder Laurel Award.
In 2022, she became the vice-president of the Administrative Council of the European Network of Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE).
In 2022, she became the President of the Polish Academic and Economic Forum.
