Lawyer and local government official. On 7 May 2024, he was elected Marshal of Podlaskie Voivodeship by the Podlaskie Voivodeship Assembly.
He was born on 23 July 1985 in Bialystok. He graduated in law and completed his doctoral studies at the University of Bialystok. In 2014, he passed the bar exam and practised as a barrister until his election as Marshal. Between 2014 and 2018, he served as a church lawyer at the Metropolitan Court in Bialystok, and since 2021 he has also been a certified restructuring advisor.
Łukasz Prokorym was a member of supervisory boards of companies: WOSiR Szelment (member of the board), the Waste Management Company in Suwalki and the Municipal Stadium in Bialystok (both as chairman of the board). In 2016-2018, he was Vice-Chairman of the Dojlidy Górne Housing Estate Council and in 2018-2024, Chairman of the Bialystok City Council.
He is a member of the Management Board of the Association of Voivodeships of the Republic of Poland and the Advisory Council of the Faculty of Law at the University of Bialystok. In September 2024, he was appointed a member of the Partnership Agreement Committee for 2021–2027 by the Minister of Funds and Regional Policy.
