Dr Mariusz Citkowski – Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Management at the University of Bialystok and Deputy Director of the Institute of Management. He works at the Strategic Management Department at the Faculty of Management at the University of Bialystok. He also serves as Chairman of the Metalworking Cluster Council – a National Key Cluster, and participates in the work of numerous university bodies and expert teams dealing with management and education quality issues. His research focuses on strategic management, network and cluster organisations, cluster policy, relational competence management, and challenges related to Industry 4.0 and competence development in the economy of the future. His research includes, among others, the analysis of cooperation mechanisms in network structures, the role of innovation in regional development, and cluster management models in a knowledge-based economy. He is the author and co-author of numerous scientific publications, research reports and studies on the functioning of clusters and regional development policy. His most recent works include Managing relational competences of industrial clusters and the challenges of Industry 4.0 (2021) and Cluster and cluster policy as tools for regional development management (2021). He teaches courses in strategic management, network organisation management, management fundamentals and time management. He has completed teaching internships at foreign universities, including the Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal (Portugal) and the University of Ioannina (Greece).
