Andrzej Parafiniuk is a manager, public figure, and expert in regional development, innovation, and business financing. For over 20 years (until 2020), he served as the President of the Board of the Podlaska Foundation for Regional Development (PFRR). Under his leadership, the foundation became a key pillar of support for the local SME sector, managing multi-million European Union funds and implementing innovation programs in the Podlaskie Voivodeship. In his subsequent professional career, he continued to drive the region's economic growth. He became the CEO of the Podlaskie Agricultural Valley Ecosystem Fund 4.0 (Podlaski Fundusz Ekosystem Dolina Rolnicza 4.0), focusing on modern technologies, agricultural and food innovations, and their intersection with medicine. Parallel to his business endeavors, Andrzej Parafiniuk serves as the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Finland in Białystok. In this role, he promotes Polish-Finnish economic, educational, and cultural cooperation. Locally, he is widely recognized as the initiator of the annual charity visits of the real Santa Claus from Rovaniemi to Białystok, which have become a hallmark event in the region.
