Jacek Piorunek (born 25 August 1965 in Łomża) – Polish local government official and lawyer, former deputy Łomża County Administrator and deputy mayor of Wizna; a member of the Podlaskie Voivodeship Executive Board from 2008 to 2014 and since 2024; in 2018, Chairman of the Podlaskie Regional Assembly. A graduate of the Tadeusz Kościuszko High School No. 1 in Łomża and of the law faculty at the Białystok branch of the University of Warsaw. Between 1994 and 1996, he completed his training as a prosecutor at the public prosecutor’s offices in Łomża and Białystok. Between 1995 and 1998, he worked as a lawyer for the Łomża branch of NSZZ “Solidarność”, and later also in Kolno. He qualified as a legal adviser and served as president of the Safe Łomża Region Association. At the same time, he was active in local government: he served as deputy county administrator of Łomża County (1999–2002). During this period, he was chairman of the European Policy Committee of the Association of Polish Counties. He was involved in establishing a twinning programme between Łomża County and Dingolfing-Landau County in Bavaria. Between 2002 and 2006, he served as deputy mayor of the municipality of Wizna.
