A graduate in physics from the University of Warsaw, specialising in nuclear physics. An entrepreneur and strategist active in both the public and private sectors, and a consultant for advisory firms and international organisations. He has been associated with the University of Warsaw since the start of his professional career. Co-founder of the University of Warsaw Technology Transfer Centre (UWTC). Since 2016, he has been a member of the board of directors of UWRC sp. z o.o. – a special-purpose vehicle of the University of Warsaw supporting the creation and development of academic spin-off companies. He has been involved in setting up and managing over 20 technology companies established at the University of Warsaw. Between 2020 and 2024, he was a member of the Expert Group on the Coordination of European Partnerships. He also sat on the Board of the National Centre for Research and Development (2007–2009, 2016–2020). He served as Director of the Strategy Department at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (2009–2012), and prior to that worked at the Ministry of the Economy (2002–2009). He has collaborated on projects with the World Bank, PwC Poland and the National Centre for Nuclear Research. For over 20 years, he has been involved in building the innovation system in Poland, developing cooperation between science and business, creating business models and development strategies for organisations supporting innovation, raising capital for business development, and implementing support instruments at national and regional level.
