Deputy Marshal of the Senate of the 11th term

Deputy Marshal of the Senate of the 11th term – elected on November 13, 2023, at the first session of the Senate. He graduated from the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology at the University of Białystok, completed Postgraduate Studies in Non-Governmental Organization Management at Collegium Civitas in Warsaw, Postgraduate Studies in Administration at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw, and completed Postgraduate Studies in "Managing Educational Processes in Revitalization, Entrepreneurship, and Local Self-Governance" at the Jan Korczak Pedagogical University in Warsaw. From 2000 to 2012, he lectured at the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of the University of Białystok, the Suwałki-Masuria University in Suwałki, and the Teacher Training College for Rehabilitation, Resocialization, and Physical Education in Białystok. Since 2001, he has been a researcher and lecturer at the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the University of Białystok. From 1997 to 2003, he worked as the head of the Municipal Center for Animation of Culture, Tourism, Sports, and Recreation in Wasilków. From 2003 to 2006, he served as the Mayor of Białystok's plenipotentiary for cooperation with non-governmental organizations and was the coordinator of the Center for Cooperation of Non-Governmental Organizations in Białystok. From 2006 to 2007, he served as the secretary of the city council. In 2007, he was appointed Voivode of the Podlaskie Voivodeship, and in 2014, Deputy Marshal of the Podlaskie Voivodeship. From 2018 to 2023, he served as a councilor in the Podlaskie Voivodeship Assembly. Since 2019, he has been the president of the ACTIVUS Institute for Local Community Development. He is a member of the CAL Association for Supporting Local Activity, the STOP Association of Trainers of Non-Governmental Organizations, and the Volunteer Fire Department in Jurowce. He has been awarded, among others, the Gold Medal of Merit for the Border Guard, the Podlaskie St. Florian's Cross, the Gold Cross of Merit for Fire Protection, and the Gold Medal "For Merit to Firefighting."
