A lawyer and local government official. On 7 May 2024, he was elected Marshal of Podlaskie Voivodeship by the Podlaskie Voivodeship Assembly. He was born on 23 July 1985 in Białystok. He completed his law degree and doctoral studies in law at the University of Białystok. In 2014, he passed the bar exam and practised as a legal adviser until his election as Marshal. Between 2014 and 2018, he also served as an ecclesiastical advocate at the Białystok Metropolitan Court, and since 2021 he has also been a qualified restructuring adviser. He has served on the supervisory boards of the following companies: WOSiR Szelment (board member), the Waste Management Company in Suwałki, and the Municipal Stadium in Białystok (as chairman of the board in both cases). Between 2016 and 2018, he was vice-chairman of the Dojlidy Górne Neighbourhood Council, and between 2018 and 2024, he served as chairman of the Białystok City Council. Marshal Łukasz Prokorym is a member of the Management Board of the Association of Voivodeships of the Republic of Poland and of the Advisory Board of the Faculty of Law at the University of Białystok. In September 2024, he was appointed a member of the Committee for the Partnership Agreement for 2021–2027 by the Minister for Funds and Regional Policy. In October 2024, he established advisory groups operating under the Marshal’s Office: the Podlaskie Women’s Council and the Podlaskie Entrepreneurship Council, as well as public representatives. He is married and has two children. His hobbies include sailing and skiing.
