A Polish politician, he served as a Member of the Sejm during its 4th, 5th, and 6th terms from 2001 to 2011, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Economy from 2006 to 2007, and Chairman of the "Poland Comes First" (PJN) parliamentary club in 2011. Between 2019 and 2023, he held the position of Deputy Chairman of the Civic Coalition (KO) parliamentary club. During the 5th term of the Sejm, he was the Deputy Chairman of the State Treasury Committee. He participated as an international observer in the 2004 presidential elections in Ukraine, the 2005 presidential elections in Kazakhstan, as well as parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan and Moldova. He served as Secretary of State at the Ministry of Economy from March 7, 2006, to November 23, 2007, in the governments of Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz and Jarosław Kaczyński. In 2010, he became the spokesperson for the election campaign of Jarosław Kaczyński, a candidate for President of the Republic of Poland. In November 2010, he left the Law and Justice (PiS) party and joined the newly formed "Poland Comes First" (PJN) parliamentary club. In 2019, he secured the top spot on the Civic Coalition (KO) candidate list for Polish Parliament (Sejm) in the Rzeszów electoral district. Following the election, he won a seat as a Member of Polish Parliament (Sejm) for its 9th term and was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Civic Coalition (KO) parliamentary club.
